Nanda Devi is the second highest mountain in India with an elevation of 8586 mts and located in Garhwal Himalaya in Uttarakhand. Kanchenjugang - It is the third highest mountain peak in the world with an elevation of 8586 mts and located in India - Nepal border. The Nun - Kun mountain massif comprises a pair of Himalayan peaks: Nun(7135 mts) and its neighbor peak Kun (7077 mts).

Day 01: Arrive Delhi.

Arrive Delhi, transfer to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 02: Delhi – Pathankot Train

Morning sightseeing of Delhi. Late afternoon transfer to railway station for overnight train to Pathkankot.

Day 03: Drive Pathankot - Dharamsala

Arrive Pathankot in the morning, drive to Dharamsala which is 90 kms from Pathankot.

Day 04: Dharamsala

Morning: Breakfast at the Hotel. Visit Mcleoadganj, which is also known as Little Lhasa in India. It is also the residence of HH The Dalai Lama the head of the exiled Tibetan Government's whose head office has been here for the last four decades. The residence of the Dalai Lama is not open to visitors but the monastery is. It is a simple yellow- painted hall painted hung with Tibetan paintings. At one end is a raised Dias. The principal image there is a three meter tall Buddha. To one side are two other large images of the Padmasambhava, the Buddhist saint who, in the eighth century AD, was invited from India to teach the Middle Way. The tall cupboards are full of Tibetan scriptures and in the centre of the dias is the seat of the Dalai Lama who gives discourses here. Not very far away from here is the Central Tibetan Secretariat. Here you can find fascinating library of Tibetan work. The library also arranges lectures on Buddhist philosophy. Nearby is the small Nechung Monastery, the seat of the Nechung oracle who plays an important role in the search for new Dalai Lamas.Evening: Dinner at the Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 05: Drive Dharamsala – Mandi – Kullu - Manali (240 Km)

Morning: Breakfast at the Hotel. Later drive to Manali via Mandi. Arrive Manali in the evening. Mandi is renowned for its 81 old stone temples and their enormous range of fine carvings. Mandi is also known as Varanasi of the hills because of its temple. Later continue your drive towards Kullu Manali. Rest of the day free. Evening: Dinner at the Hotel. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 06: Manali

Morning: Breakfast at the Hotel. Manali is the main tourist resort in the valley. It is ideally situated along the western bank of the river Beas, close to the snows of the Rohtang Pass and Solang valley Manali has lot of important interesting points for the visiting tourists. Overnight at hotel.

Hadimba Temple – The outstanding feature of this 450 years old temple is four tired pagoda shaped roof and a beautifully carved doors. Legend has it that the ruler who built this temple did not wish its carvings to replicated, so he had the right hand of the artist cut.

Tibetan Monastery – Has several images of Buddha, Thangkas Paintings and a handicraft center.

Vashishth Baths & Club House – It is perched on a steep hillside across the river Beas below the temple there is a hot water sulfur baths.

Day 07: Drive Manali - Sarchu (222 km)

Leave hotel after breakfast for Sarchu. Today you are going to cross two passes Rothang Pass ( 3978 m) and Baralacha La ( 4892 m ) Arrive Sarchu overnight in Fix Camp.

Day 08: Drive Sarchu - Leh (251 km)

Leave Camp after breakfast for Sarchu. Today you are going to cross two more pass Lalchalang la ( 5065 m ) and highest pass on this road Tanglang la ( 5360 m) Arrive Leh, check-in the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 09: In Leh.

Morning free. After lunch drive to Stok via Choklamsar. Here you cross Indus river which is one of the holiest rivers. In Stok one can visit the royal palace of present king and queen. In this palace there is a great collection of ancient royal ornaments, Thankas and old statues. About five minutes upward drive from the Stok Palace there is Gurpuk Gompa, about thirty monks reside in this monastery. The monks of this monastery belong to Gelukpa school. After visiting this monastery drive to Matho monastery which is 10 km. This monastery is built by Lama Dungpa Dorje 13th century. This monastery is the only monastery of Saskyapa school in Ladakh. This monastery is famous for their two oracles who were invited by the founder of this monastery. Presently 50 monks are residing and they practice in Saskyapa order. After visiting this monastery drive back to SOS in Choklamsar. Here you can visit the handicrafts centre of Tibetan Refugee and also you can see the SOS children village. After visiting the camp drive back to Leh. Overnight Hotel.

Day 10: In Leh

Full day sightseeing Shey, Thiksey and Hemis monastery. Morning: After breakfast full day sightseeing to Shey, Thiksey, Hemis. Shey palace is situated at a distance of 14 km from Leh. This palace is the oldest palace of Ladakh, which is built by the first king of Ladakh in 9th century, now days it is in a ruined condition. Here one can visit the temple of Unique Buddha with Copper and Gold gilded. The son of king Singey Namgyal builds this temple 16th century for the funeral memory of his father. After visiting this temple drive to Thiksey monastery which is 5 km from Shey. This is the oldest monastery of Gelukpa school in Ladakh which is build by the great Lama Paldan Shesrap in 14th century now in these days 80 monks are residing HH Khanpo Ringpoche incumbents this monastery. After visiting this monastery drive to Hemis monastery which is 26 km from Thiksey. The great mahasiddha Sthaksang Raspa along with great ancestor Singey Namgyal builds this monastery in 16th century. This monastery is the biggest and richest monastery of Ladakh. Presently 200 monks are residing this monastery and they practice in Drukpa School. After visiting this monastery drive back to Leh. Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 11: Drive Leh - Uleytokpo

Leave Leh after breakfast for Uleytokpo en-route visit Alchi monastery On the way to Alchi one can see the great confluence of Indus and Zanskar River. Alchi which is 67 km far from Leh and it takes 1 to 2 hours drive. Alchi monastery is build by the Great translator Ringchen Zangpo in 11th century. The great translator brought 32 woodcarvers, sculptors and painters from Kashmir. He builds hundred temples and Stupas around Ladakh, Tibet and Spiti. And this monastery is one of the well-preserved monasteries of Ladakh. After visit Alchi drive Uleytokpo which is 9 kms from Alchi. Arrive Uleytokpo overnight in Uley Ethnic Resort.

Day 12: Drive Uleytokpo – Lamayuru - Leh

After breakfast drive to Lamayuru which is 55 km far from Uleytokpo and it takes one hour drive. The Great lama Chosje Danma the foremost Guru of King Jamyang Namgyal builds this monastery 15th century. Before building monastery there was a meditation cave of the great meditator Lama Naropa who came through Kashmir in 10th century. Presently 70 monks are residing in this monastery and they practice in Digungpa School. After visiting this monastery drive back to Leh en-route visit Likir monastery. Overnight stay in Hotel.

Day 13: Leh – Khardong-La - Leh

Leave hotel after breakfast for day excursion of Khardong la, the highest motor able road in the world . The line of the road is different from that of the old pony trail longer and actually higher ( 18,300 ft. ) The view from the top of the pass is amazing. One can see the way south over the Indus valley to the seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, the morth to the giants of the Seser massif. After spending some time at the pass drive back to Leh for overnight stay.

Day 14: In Leh

Day free for rest. Overnight at hotel in Leh.

Day 15: Flight Leh - Delhi

transfer to airport for flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi transfer to hotel for day use only. Late evening transfer to IGI Airport for catch the return flight.

Day 16: Departure.
